Unlock the Benefits of Your FSA & HSA

Welcome to a world of relaxation and wellness where you can maximize the benefits of your Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA) for massage therapy

Not sure what FSA or HSA is?

Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) and Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) are financial tools that allow you to set aside pre-tax dollars for qualified medical expenses. This includes massage therapy, making it easier for you to prioritize your well-being.

Why Use Your FSA or HSA for Massage?

  • Tax Advantages: By using your FSA or HSA, you're taking advantage of pre-tax dollars, reducing your taxable income and saving money.

  • Holistic Wellness: Massage therapy is recognized as a beneficial form of holistic healthcare. Using your FSA or HSA enables you to invest in your well-being.

Can I Use My FSA or HSA for Massage Therapy?

Yes, both FSAs and HSAs cover massage therapy as a qualified medical expense.

What Documentation Do I Need?

Keep your receipts and any necessary documentation. If required, our team can provide you with the necessary information for reimbursement.

How Do I Pay for Massage Services with my FSA or HSA?

Simply use your FSA or HSA debit card at the time of payment, just like any other form of payment. However, in some cases a invoice will be created and you can make the payment through the invoice link.

Are There Limits to Reimbursement?

Check with your plan administrator for specific details on reimbursement limits. Typically, the cost of massage therapy is eligible for reimbursement.

Can I Use My FSA or HSA for Any Type of Massage?

As long as the massage therapy is prescribed by a qualified healthcare professional to treat a specific medical condition, it is eligible for FSA or HSA reimbursement.

How to Maximize Your Benefits

  • Consult Your Plan Administrator: Understand the specifics of your FSA or HSA plan, including eligible expenses and reimbursement processes.

  • Get a Prescription: If required by your plan, obtain a prescription from your healthcare provider, stating that massage therapy is a prescribed treatment for your condition.

  • Keep Detailed Records: Maintain accurate records of your massage therapy sessions, including receipts and any necessary documentation.

I bought a Gift Voucher, can I claim on Private Health?

That depends. Is the gift voucher for yourself? If you have purchased a voucher for someone else then no, you can’t claim. if you have purchased it for yourself then at the time of the appointment just ask us to give you a paper receipt and you can claim with your FSA or HSA funds. FSA and HSA are for the people listed on your health insurance. As we won’t know who is using the voucher until they use it, then we can’t issue the receipt until that time.
